Our Volunteers
Volunteers are the heart and soul of museums everywhere.
We are most fortunate to have a growing staff of volunteers who are dedicated,
interested in museum work and are a delight to have with us.
We try to help volunteers find a niche within an institution that appeals to them
on many levels, sometimes becoming a new direction for their life, occasionally
even a new career.
Valerie Van Hoomissen, working with Geri McAnn in
registering and describing artifacts, April, 2007.
"Being a volunteer and working with you for these past couple weeks
has been a good working experience. I got to use my computer skills to
help out the museum and I got to use new computer programs such as
PastPerfect and CuteSITE builder. I learned more about Palmer's history
though the artifacts and also learned how to manage the artifacts."
Terry Ann Ngo, April 2007
